Army Wife Talk Radio Follows its Dreams
February 1, 2007, Richmond Hill, GA—The internet
talk radio show, Army Wife Talk Radio (AWTR), hosted by Tara Crooks,
will air LIVE for the first time, February 5, 2007 at 8PM (EST).
Listeners can tune in at
www.BlogTalkRadio.com/awtr for this
show for and by Army Wives.
Nearing the close of Army Wife Talk Radio’s second year, Tara Crooks
will take her show to the next level with BlogTalkRadio. BlogTalkRadio
empowers independent bloggers or podcasters, like Crooks, with the
capability to interact with her listeners in real time. For AWTR LIVE’s
first interactive show, Crooks has invited syndicated columnists and
international speakers Kathie Hightower and Holly Scherer as her special
guests. Holly and
Kathie have presented their trademark workshop Follow Your Dreams
While You Follow the Military™ for military spouses all over the
United States, Europe, and Japan since 1994. Hightower and Scherer are
military spouses as well and will share their secrets to making the most
of the military lifestyle.
“Real-time interaction with military spouses around the globe has been
my dream all along,” says Crooks. The AWTR show has been about Army Wife
Life all along, but now the established relationships with her 1000+
listeners will be more intimate and timely as listeners will be able to
call in or instant message throughout the show. Previous shows were
pre-recorded with military authors, military and non-profit organization
contacts, other military spouses, and regular spots contributed by
Military Money and USAA. These now-LIVE shows will be recorded as well
and available for download at BlogTalkRadio.com/awtr, itunes, and
ArmyWifeTalkRadio.com.
Crooks has already reached out LIVE with an affiliated show—for Army
families—based on the self-syndicated Q&A column Field Problems™,
co-authored by Star Henderson. While that is a monthly production, AWTR
will continue its scheduled season with weekly LIVE shows on Mondays at
8pm (EST). Regulars and new and interested supporters and friends of
Army wives and girlfriends are all invited to participate by calling
(646) 915-8736. “I want you to make this show your show,” invites
Crooks. In the event that listeners can not participate at that time,
they can still influence the direction of future shows by commenting on
the blog, message boards, and AWTR Listener’s Line all available at
www.ArmyWifeTalkRadio.com.
Visit the website for more information on Army Wife Talk Radio or Tara
Crooks. Hightower and Scherer go on tour this year to promote the
re-release of their book “Help! I’m a Military Spouse. I want a life
too!” By Crooks’ doing, they are also scheduled to deliver their
workshop to forts in Georgia, home of the 3d Infantry Division. More
information about them can be found at www.MilitarySpouseHelp.com.
USAA stands for United Services Automobile Association and its
affiliates. USAA is AWTR’s proud Patriot sponsor.
